All procedures are performed under local anaesthesia. Each procedure may take 1-2 hours depends on type of procedure. Here, Dentist gets an access to the inner layers of gums through a small incision at the gum and tooth junction, lifts up the gum flap to reach upto the roots, then infected tissue is removed and teeth are cleaned intensly. This cleaning process helps to get rid of any harmful bacteria plaque or even tarter , then the flap is folded back to its original position and then sealed to initiate a rapid healing procedure. The main goal of the gum surgery is to restore healthy gums and secure anchoring of your teeth.
